William Tyndale: Man with a Mission

2007

Noted William Tyndale biographer David Daniell discusses the life of the man credited with translating the Bible into English and making the Holy Scriptures more widely available to the general public. After being declared a heretic by the Roman Catholic Church and stoking King Henry VIII's ire, Tyndale lived the rest of his life on the run, hiding out as a fugitive until he was captured and burned at the stake in 1536.
