Biography

Dorothea Jones was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in a small town in Galway, West of Ireland. Jones was studying an Art degree when tragedy struck and her grandmother passed away, this had a huge effect on Dorothea as the last conversation she had with her grandmother she told her that, the art degree wouldn't make her happy and she should follow her dreams to become an actress promising she will always be with her and look over her. Inspired by her family's love and support Dorothea changed paths and studied Drama and Theatre Studies in Sligo, Ireland, gaining a first-class honour in her degree. After her theatre training she wasted little time in moving to London. She furthered her training at The Actors Studio in Pinewood, London and has since been working in Indie Film. Winning "Best Acting Duo" at the Independent Shorts Awards in LA for her role as Elizabeth in "A Logical Scale" and "Best Cast" at AltFF Alternative Film Festival for her role as Ella in "People in Landscape", alongside Kate Cook, Gina Gershon, Eric Roberts and Ruchika Jain directed by multi-award-winning Benjamin Rider
